What Does the Kiroku Chrome Extension Do?
With the Kiroku Chrome extension, you can:
- Access Kiroku in a panel directly alongside your patient record in any cloud PMS you use
- Insert your notes into Dentally with just one click - no more copying and pasting between tabs
- Stay focused on your patient instead of juggling multiple tabs or screens
- Pin and resize the Kiroku panel so it fits neatly into your workflow
- Use voice notes or click through your templates to write your records
One-click insertion of notes currently only works with Aerona, Dentally and Dental4Web, but we are working with other cloud-based practice management systems to build this in. Get in touch with us if you’d like this feature for your practice system.
How to Get Started
Getting the Kiroku Chrome extension set up takes less than a minute:
- Visit the Kiroku extension page on the Chrome Web Store.
- Click "Add to Chrome" to install the extension. We also recommend pinning the extension for ease of use.
- Open your cloud-based practice management system in Chrome and click on the Kiroku extension to log in and start using it.
That’s it. No complicated setup, no special permissions needed.
Remember, you’ll need to make sure you’re using the Google Chrome browser to use the extension.

How do I get the Kiroku Chrome extension?
- Search the Chrome Web Store for "Kiroku" or click this link to see the extension page.
- Click "Add to Chrome" and confirm you want to "Add extension".
- The extension will now appear in your extension bar, shown by a puzzle icon.
- We recommend clicking the pin icon next to the Kiroku extension to pin it to your extension bar.
Which practice management systems can use the Kiroku Chrome extension?
- Any cloud-based practice management system can use the Kiroku Chrome extension.
- People using Aerona, Dentally and Dental4Web can use one click "Insert notes".
- People using other practice systems will need to click "Copy notes" in the extension and paste notes into the appropriate text area.
What's the benefit of using the Kiroku Chrome extension over opening it in a browser?
- The Chrome extension allows you to see Kiroku overlayed on your practice management system, so you can see your notes and patient records on the same window.
- The extension is resizable, so you can adapt it's size based on your current task e.g. you may want to make it larger when writing notes and smaller when charting teeth on the practice system.
- If you don't have two screens in your practice, the extension is particularly useful, again so you can easily see everything you need on one screen.
